The most direct route from Numbi to Skukuza is along the Napi Road (H1-1). A slightly longer route is via the Albasini Road (S3) and Doispane Road (S1). If one has a whole day at one's disposal, an interesting choice is to take the (H2-2) to Afsaal and then north along the Malelane Skukuza Road (H3).

Numbi Gate is in the south-western section of Kruger National Park. It's a good gate to enter the park by if you're heading towards Skukuza Rest Camp (which a lot of people are, as it's the biggest camp in the park!). The nearest accommodation to the gate however, is Pretoriuskop Rest Camp. This camp is only a distance of 9km (6 miles) away.

If you're coming from White River, I suggest you take the R40 to Hazyview, and then back-track (about 9kms) on the R538 to the Numbi Gate turn-off. It's a longer road, but less tortuous and built-up. Both roads are OK from a personal safety perspective. The Kruger Gate road is even more built up these days.
